Sophie Johnson, an undergraduate research assistant in the BLAB lab, has been selected to receive a Hilldale Undergraduate / Faculty Research Fellowship. This award will help Sophie continue her work on vowel space manipulation in connected speech.

BLAB postdoc, Sarah Bakst, received an award for having the best talk in the postdoctoral poster blitz session at the Association for Research in Otolaryngology 2020 MidWinter Meeting.

BLAB postdoctoral researcher, Dr. Sarah Bakst, has received the Travel Award for the Association for Research in Otolaryngology’s 2020 MidWinter Meeting. Dr. Bakst will be presenting her research findings titled: Speech Error-Detection Thresholds in Cochlear Implant and Normal Hearing Listeners. BLAB research assistant, Dominick Battistini, presented a poster on our fMRI study looking at speaking-induced suppression in the auditory cortex for his biology course.
